We just want to say thank you so much for all your help within the past year when it came to organising this wedding. You and the events team were amazing and really looked after us. We couldn’t have done it without you.  

Rita & Daniel – Saturday 13^th April 2024

We came back from our mini honeymoon. Thank you for all the help and beautiful attention to detail. This was an absolute dream and we are so thankful. Our expectations (which were always high) were greatly exceeded. 

I will do so and will keep the Grand Hotel and the whole team in mind for any future celebrations.

Again, thank you for making our day so special and making me feel a lot less stressed during the whole preparation process.

Sam & Lorretta – Sat 6^th July 2024

We had the best day ever and it’s largely thanks to you and everyone at The Grand who went above and beyond for us. We cannot thank you enough. From our operation meeting the evening before to the day itself (including the amazing food) and our night in the suite, everything was wonderful.

Both our moms love you and The Grand.

This evening, we have dropped off a small token of our appreciation for you at reception. We’re off on our date night to see Supertonic band again and relive the day.

Please could you share any photos you took of the day? My mom mentioned that you took photos of the sweet table setup.

Niamh & Joe – 2^nd Aug 24

We had such a great time from start to finish at the hotel. 

Thank you for the upgrade to the Grand Suite that was great and especially the nice bonus of the outside balcony and views. 

The day itself could not have gone better. The room set ups and the staff were very helpful. The food was good both at our sit down and we had many compliments from evening guests about the buffet. The pop up bar worked well too. Many of our family & friends thought it was such a fantastic venue something they’d never been to for a wedding. The terrace was definitely a winner!

Meg we are so happy we chose the Grand as our venue and honestly cannot be happier with the overall experience. We would recommend Bianca who did the live singing sessions she was very good! You gave us a list of recommendations for singers I’d definitely add Bianca to that! 

 Finally a special thanks to you for helping us make this such a wonderful day for Niamh and I.

Just wanted to say the biggest thank you for all your help with our wedding last Saturday we had the best day ever and the hotel and all the staff were amazing !

Chris & Matt – Sunday 1^st Sept 24

Lovely to hear from you!  Yes, we are both well thanks and still basking in the afterglow of the wedding. We loved it SOOOOOO much!!  Haha.  I’m sure everyone says that after their big day, but for us it was very magical to get married after 24 years of being together, and to have the 3 day build up, to meet all the team, and to have the fun rehearsal the day before, etc.  It was all just brilliant, and we can’t thank you and everyone at the Grand enough for all that you did for us.  We have relived it over and over since we left you on the 1st, and all our friends and families have said how much they loved it too. Everyone felt very connected and as thought it was fun, poignant, emotional and light, all at the same time. People also can’t get enough of the ‘flower boyz’!!  😄  That video has been viewed on Facebook over 1400 times!!

In terms of feedback… I honestly can’t think of anything at this point as everything flowed just how we wanted on the day.  If I had to be ultra-picky then maybe the service in Isaac’s was a bit slow on the Saturday night, but not enough for us to complain about.  Apart from that everyone and everything was just fabulous.

We have said to Matty that we would love to help with any marketing feature for the Grand if needed, and to promote same sex weddings in your venue.  We felt the Church Room was perfect for our group size and occasion, and we would be thrilled for you to feature any of our photos in your promotional material, marketing collateral, or social media, etc, and if you wanted a testimonial or any comments or even an interview from us then we would be very happy to help.  You can call us your favourite couple as much as you like then!! 😄

We’re just working with the photographer on agreeing the final photos which we will soon have copies of, but obviously we also have so many photos from other people too. Korbin took 1800 photos over the 3 days, so that has taken a LOT of sorting through 😄 😄 😄!  Once we have finalised our selection then I’ll be sure to send some to you, and you will be able to use those as needed.

We are also coming into the hotel late Saturday afternoon for a drink and to drop off the vase from the flowers we had in our room, so we will hopefully see you then if you are around, but if not then we will leave it with Reception.

Thanks again Meg. It was a pleasure dealing and working with you, and you really made the day an absolute joy for us.

Thank you so much for your warm congratulations and kind words! We truly appreciate all the effort that went into making our wedding day perfect. Everything provided by The Grand Hotel was wonderful, and both we and our guests had an incredible time. The atmosphere, the food and the service were just fantastic.

We are also very grateful for the room upgrade to the Penthouse—it was a delightful surprise and made our stay even more memorable.

In general, the support and guidance we received from yourself and the team from day one of planning to the big day was invaluable. Our guests have all commented on what a fantastic day it was and how beautiful the hotel is. It truly created a magical setting for our wedding. The food was outstanding and the service second to non.

Charlotte and the team we fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. I hope you have recovered now.

We can’t thank you enough Megan, from responding to my emails and answering my questions; you made me feel at ease.

For sure we will be back at the hotel, we are already planning an anniversary visit and I’m sure we will be there in between.

We also so appreciate Charlotte stepping in to help with everything the day before and on the day - she was great and really put my mind at ease once the last min jitters started to kick in! We also cannot thank her enough for working through the issue regarding our cake supplier.

Our guests can’t stop telling us what an impressive venue it is and how lovely the food was - and the ones who stayed over loved their rooms.

Very happy to share photos when we get them! The photographer (JH23photography) has tagged the hotel in a few already. Will send the actual photos when I get them. Let me know what kind of thing you’d like the most, we’ve got loads of video from Morgan but photos may be more useful for you? 

The food was so good and the service, and everything felt like it ran very smoothly which I know is down to your organisation! We were so pleased with the room and how everything looked. The Christmas decorations were so well coordinated 😀 

Only bits of feedback would be about the draught beer which I know you’ll be aware of as Jess was in touch. People were disappointed as it was fairly early in the night but I know you helped resolve this, so thank you for that. 

Also the sound / mic system - again, I know this was able to be resolved with Jack’s support.

Quite soon haha but we’re in town celebrating Joe’s 30th next weekend with the family so may pop by! Will definitely let you know when we plan to pop by in the future. Thanks again Meg.

We had the most amazing wedding day at the Grand. Meg was absolutely amazing throughout the process, regularly checking in and ensuring everything was organised the way we wanted. She paid such close attention to detail and spoke to all our suppliers to make sure they knew what they were doing on the day. Meg was always happy to chat and meet up, and was also there on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. 

Everything was fab on the day from the food, to the service. Thanks to all the team at the Grand for ensuring we had the perfect wedding day!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to you & all of the staff who contributed to our wonderful day on Saturday. The service was exceptional, all our guests commented on how wonderful the venue and staff were. We can’t thank you enough. Following our tasting we had really high expectations of the food and it was delicious on the day, so were the canapés and evening food. 

Please do pass on our thanks to Elvis, who was across every potential issue, had clear line of sight of the whole day and made it run without a hitch. We all joked that we need an Elvis in our lives and can’t praise him enough. 

Thank you once again for delivering our wonderful day. We had a great time. I’m certain that our guests now have a wonderful view of your hotel & will be returning soon.

I just wanted to drop you an email to say a HUGE thank you to you and the team for making our wedding day extra special. We were blown away by the venue and how well the team worked together on the day. Elvis was absolutely super at supporting me and Steve on the day.  I did not know that we would have such an excellent team behind us and the help in the set up on the day was invaluable. Elvis was so great at setting up the lunch that I had planned on the balcony and I am very grateful that we had arranged this as it was really special. 

You were super in the lead up to the day and it was great to see you there on the day.  You listened to us and worked with us to make the day as unique to us as possible and we felt in very safe hands.  Thank you for your flexibility and patience. 

Everyone who stayed in the hotel was very complimentary of the staff.   There was a real warmth that came from all the staff throughout the hotel. For example, one of the waiters in Isaacs pushed my baby around in his pushchair whilst I ate my breakfast.  They were just great help and lovely people.

I am sad that it is all over but I have so many special memories and I would not change a thing about the day,
