Here at Downstairs At The Grand we’re excited to bring you our freshest show for the summer.

Still secret, and still the height of sophistication we’re now prepping to preview our ‘Six Weeks Of Summer’ edition of shows to play late night at Isaac’s.

Think Ibiza sunsets, Cafe Del Mar, Glastonbury singalong summer party vibes. We’re bringing you a series of shows inspired by Summer Solstice like unplugged Ibiza anthems, carnival and festival chic and many, many well know jukebox classics.

Sample playlists to include club iconic themes from Armen Van Buuren, Faithless, Purple Disco Machine, Mojo and more.

Ride the nostalgia train back in time as we perform bangers like Make Luv, Got To Turn Around, Murder On The Dancefloor, U Don’t Know Me and Praise You mixed with iconic anthems and disco classics. 

It’s time for longer nights and longer drinks.

As  ‘ICONS, CLUB 1879 and MUSICAL THEATRE THURSDAYS take a well-earned summer break for the warmer months we’re super ready to dive into a season of partying with you all at The Grand Hotel.

The same team of fabulous musicians will bring this fresh new offering as long as the sun shines!

Our Thursday Musical Theatre Nights have gone viral on TikTok as the hottest spot to be seen at in Birmingham on a Thursday night.

Enjoy a three course meal and an evening of sophisticated cabaret from our fabulous resident team featuring special appearances from well-known theatre stars.

It’s your chance to experience the best of The West End in the second city and the only musical theatre cabaret night in Brum.

Playing classics of musical theatre such as Les Mis and Phantom along with modern hits from Hamilton and Six, we’ll be taking you on a whistle stop tour of the finest shows from all over the world, all in one night.

A night of iconic female LEGENDS.

‘Icons’ went truly viral this year as the only place to be on a Friday night. An evening of female legends like Christina, Beyoncé, Rihanna and many more.

Heavy nostalgia RnB, feel good tunes and an opportunity to make some serious shapes on the dance floor.

Well Icons is returning refreshed and re-written and ready to SLAY again this September.

Refreshed and re-written, our Saturday night concept follows on from the immensely popular Icons show.

DECADES will be a huge one.

Celebrating all the absolute tunes from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s - expect singalong classics from EVERY genre - so there’s something for everyone.

The biggest artists on the planet from every era

70’s: think Donna Summer, Abba, and Bowie

80’s: think George Michael, Whitney and Prince

90’s: think Oasis, Spice Girls then moving into House Classics

This is Club 1879

Hidden beneath The Grand Hotel, the name 1879 comes from the year the building first opened. Almost 150 years on, this space returns to what it was always meant for: conversation, music and great food.
